Day 13 – Clean Out A Closet with Citrus Fresh

textgram_1528890649Hump day, oh yeah! We’re halfway through the week!

Today, let’s all take 30 minutes ONLY 30 minutes to clean out a closet! If your closets are spotless, I’m jealous, but pick something else messy and work on that for 30 minutes. Maybe a garage? Or a basement?

Here are the rules:

1. Don’t mess with someone else’s stuff. Work around it, take it out and clean then put it back. Or even, if there’s a ton of someone else’s stuff, declutter somewhere else in your home! Don’t be tossing someone else’s things, no bueno.

2. Only take out stuff you can put back in our 30 minutes. Don’t get crazy and end up with a closet explosion – you totally know what I’m talking about lol!

3. If it doesn’t make you happy or you haven’t used it in 2 years, it needs to move on. Toss it or take it to a donation point. You’ll be so glad to have that stuff out!

When you’re done, put some Citrus Fresh on a cotton ball or two and toss them in there – next time you open that door it’ll be prettier because of your 30 minutes of hard work AND it’ll smell nice!

You know, our brains are like computers. All these things are running in the background. Some of them are super fun stuff, like remembering it’s your best friend’s birthday soon and that present you’re so excited to give her. But, some of it is just taking up precious space in your mind! I don’t know about you, but with my busy life I just don’t have space for those random things in my closet. They need to move on!

Decluttering an out of the way catch-all space feels SO good! I always say I feel like Super Mom when I get stuff like that done. 🙂

While you’re cleaning you can also diffuse Citrus Fresh. It’s a blend of citrus, like orange, tangerine and grapefruit with a little hint of spearmint. An uplifting, happy scent, Citrus Fresh is sure to put a little spring in your step!
