The end of our school year is fast approaching. We're taking July off, which is a first for us. As a summer sun lover, I'm always in the absolute best mental/emotional place in summer, so we usually school all the way through. It's fun, and I'm oozing patience for all the activities and even some crafts (not my strong point). But this year we have a big yard full of plants, bugs, birds and animals prints that need daily investigation. We have 2 parks and a 7-11 within walking distance. And we have a newly dry basement that needs some paint and organization. So, we'll take July off. My oldest is going into 6th grade and I remember my summer at that age SO clearly. It's time to give space for the most summery of summer activities! Our new neighborhood has so much going on in July too! Festivals, parades, concerts within walking distance and even a block party on our street so here we go! 🎉🎉🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Had a super fun Father's Day yesterday. Daddy's love of special kiddo moments, adventure and ice cream was wonderfully satiated. And the kids finally caught a salamander! They've been aching to find one since we moved here, turns out a rainy walk through the forest is the perfect environment. ❤
We are loving these (almost) summer days. We're outside more than inside! ❤
